"The greater Seattle area is home for my wife and myself and our two children. As a northwest native and outdoor enthusiast, it's not surprising that I gain so much inspiration from this diverse beauty of mountains, desert, and ocean. For centuries, artists have painted the world around them. I'm compelled to explore this tradition as well. Through paintings and linocuts, both in the studio and in the field, I bring to life my thoughtful and vibrant interpretations of this world around us. Through my childhood, art school, and employment with Battelle labs and Boeing, my interest in art has evolved and progressed. Now I follow this creative path, making a living exhibiting in select galleries and shows nationwide." Several of Ferguson's works were recently purchased by the Bear Creek Corporation in Medford for their public areas. |
