| Nicholas Kirsten-Honshin was born in Seattle, Washington. He currently divides his time living, creating artwork and writing poetry in Seattle and Stehekin, Washington. He started Painting at the age of nine and has devoted his life to art and the energy of creativity. He uses the mediums of painting, print making, sculpture, jewelry, and poetry as tools to communicate through beauty, and the unity of consciousness and life in all things in the universe. "All life is sacred and all things have consciousness. To find and share the transcendent joy of the eternal in each moment is the path of my art and life. Embrace the path of caring, sharing, and growing closer to all life and each other, and liberation into the eternal oneness and unity of the universe is not far behind." Through meditation Honshin blends the spiritual practices of Zen Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhism, Christianity and ancient American Shamanism to inspire and create his poetry and artworks. Honshin's work is available and he may be contacted at the Kirsten Gallery. |
